Water Lane United Reformed Church, Bishop's Stortford
Whittlesford United Reformed Church

Four Rivers Mission Partnership comprises six churches located in the area where the counties of Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Suffolk border each other:

Saffron Walden, Bishop’s Stortford, Thaxted, Sawston, Whittlesford & Clare

The Partnership’s name is based on the four rivers in the area covered by its churches:
the Cam, the Chelmer, the Stort and the Stour.

The churches share an open, inclusive theology that affirms diversity and welcomes with a liberal, non-dogmatic approach to Christian belief.

As a partnership, our core priority is Growth: Growth in numbers, Growth in spiritual depth and Growth in service to our communities. All six churches seek to grow and develop relations across generations, including to older members and young families.
